    Polychrome plate or stone lithograph on paper; “Salon des Cent” from 1896; poster in Art Nouveau style in complementary, muted colours; depiction of the silhouette of a lady whom the artist met during a crossing from Le Havre to Bordeaux, dressed in an elaborate gown with gloves and hat, seated in a deck chair on the ship, gazing out at the open sea where a ship passes by in the distance; the poster was printed for the exhibition at the ‘Salon des Cent’, which took place from October 1895 to March 1896, the dates are inscribed on the poster; stamped on the right side with the imprint of the printer Bourgerie et Cie in Paris and bearing the artist’s monogram lower right; white passepartout; modern black wooden frame with various marks and chips; glazed; not opened; age-related signs of wear; image cutout dimensions: approx. 58.5 x 39 cm; frame dimensions: approx. 79.5 x 58.5 cm; weight: approx. 3.3 kg.
