Two silver boxes with engraved decoration, Germany, early and late 19th century

900/- und 13-lötiges Silber; Gesamtgewicht: ca. 169 g; 1) Kleine gerundet-längliche Dose mit abklappbarem Deckel, rilliertem Ornamentaldekor und erhabener Daumenrast; innen minimale Restvergoldung; am Rand mit ungedeuteter Meistermarke und Feingehaltsstempel 13 versehen; Maße: ca. 1,9 x 7 x 3,2 cm. 2) Schminketui in länglich-ovaler Form, umlaufendes Floral- und Ornamentaldekor auf der Schauseite, Daumendrücker; innen in zwei Fächer mit separaten Deckeln aufgeteilt, oberer Teil durch Bügel separiert; Daumenrastscharnier aus Metall (partiell gerostet); am innenliegenden Scharnier gestempelt mit Halbmond und Krone, Feingehaltsstempel 900 und ungedeuteter Herstellerpunze; Öffnung schwergängig; Maße: ca. 2 x 8,5 x 3,5 cm. Beide Dosen mit altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren.

900/- and 13-lot silver; total weight: approx. 169 g; 1) Small rounded-elongated box with hinged lid, reeded ornamental decoration and raised thumb rest; interior with minimal remnants of gilding; rim stamped with an unidentified maker’s mark and fineness mark 13; dimensions: approx. 1.9 x 7 x 3.2 cm. 2) Vanity case of elongated oval form, encircling floral and ornamental decoration to the front, thumb press; interior divided into two compartments with separate lids, upper section separated by a bar; thumb-rest hinge made of metal (partially rusted); interior hinge stamped with crescent and crown, fineness mark 900 and unidentified maker’s mark; opening stiff; dimensions: approx. 2 x 8.5 x 3.5 cm. Both boxes with age-related signs of wear.

All pieces with age-related signs of wear and oxidation residues.
