Alster 25.7.1909”; on the side of the lid stamped with crescent and crown, a partially struck unidentified maker’s mark, model number and fineness mark; solder residues on the centre of the lid, isolated enclosed foreign inclusions in the glass, chip in the glass measuring approx. 1 cm, heavy oxidation traces, wear to the base; height: approx. 31 cm.

Peters und Bahlsen; assembled in four parts; square plinth; circular bell-shaped base with encircling relief ornament and acanthus-leaf decoration; cylindrical shaft section with four semi-relief mythological figures to the body; drawn-in, stepped central section transitioning into a conical shaft, encircled at the beginning and end by relief acanthus-leaf decoration; four cornucopia-shaped candle arms with circular drip pans and vase-shaped nozzles; central sculptural caryatid supporting one candle nozzle; overall height: each approx. 65.5 cm; plinth dimensions: approx. 17.3 x 17.3 cm; one applied element slightly loose; good age-related condition.
