Antique three-piece Rococo coffee service with elaborate relief decoration, Paris, France, 1768-1775
Silberlegierung; Gesamtgewicht: ca. 1134 g; dreiteiliges Kaffeeservice mit umlaufendem reliefiertem Floral- und Rocailledekor auf der Schauseite und mehreren großen Reserven mit Watteau-Szenerien: 1) Kaffeekanne mit birnenförmigem Korpus auf drei ausgestellten Füßen, geschwungenem Ohrenhenkel aus ebonisiertem Holz (obere Anbringung muss nachgezogen werden), abklappbarem Haubendeckel mit Rosenbekrönung und hoch angesetztem Ausguss; Höhe: ca. 22,5 cm. 2) Rahmgießer mit birnenförmigem Korpus auf drei ausgestellten Füßen, hoch angesetztem geschweiftem Ohrenhenkel aus ebonisiertem Holz und breitem Ausguss; Höhe: ca. 12,7 cm. 3) Zuckerdose mit gedrückt kugeliger Wandung auf drei geschweiften Füßen und abnehmbarem Deckel mit Rosenbekrönung; Höhe: ca. 13,2 cm. Alle Teile mit altersbedingten Gebrauchsspuren; unterseitig gestempelt mit bekrönter Bourbonlilie sowie zwei Stadt- bzw. poinçon de charge-Marken „A“ und „P“ unter dreipassiger Krone (s. Fotos).
Silver alloy; total weight: approx. 1134 g; three-piece coffee service with encircling relief floral and rocaille decoration to the front and several large reserves with Watteau-style scenes: 1) Coffee pot with pear-shaped body on three splayed feet, scrolled ear handle of ebonised wood (upper attachment requires tightening), hinged domed lid with rose finial and high-set spout; height: approx. 22.5 cm. 2) Cream jug with pear-shaped body on three splayed feet, high-set scrolled ear handle of ebonised wood and broad spout; height: approx. 12.7 cm. 3) Sugar bowl with compressed globular body on three scrolled feet and removable lid with rose finial; height: approx. 13.2 cm. All pieces with age-related signs of wear; underside stamped with crowned Bourbon fleur-de-lis and two town or poinçon de charge marks “A” and “P” beneath a trefoil crown (see photos).
Silver alloy; weight: approx. 328 g; silver pedestal bowl with compressed globular body and slightly flared rim with encircling relief beaded and fruit decoration, standing on a flared round foot with corresponding fruit decoration to the front, and engraved date “24.3.1939” to the body; age-related signs of wear and oxidation residues; height: approx. 10.3 cm.
Various silver alloys; total weight: approx. 171 g; three-piece group comprising: 1) Match case of oval-elongated form with sliding gold-coloured insert, thumb grip, striker surface set above, and applied enamel flag of the Allemannia rowing club from Hamburg, below engraved date “3 May 1926”; dimensions: approx. 6.2 x 6.3 x 4.3 cm. 2) Rectangular case with hinged lid, thumb press and raised depiction of the express steamer Kaiser Friedrich on the front; interior with remnants of gilding; dimensions: approx. 2 x 7.2 x 3.5 cm. 3) Circular case with hinged lid and dedications on both sides; interior with remnants of gilding and an unidentified punch; diameter: approx. 6.4 cm. Age-related signs of wear and oxidation residues.
Sterling silver; total weight: approx. 254 g; pair of bowls with conical bodies in diamond-shaped pierced decoration and laterally hinged ring-shaped handles, terminating in a wide rim with encircling corded border; light age-related signs of wear; handles and inner walls stamped with lion passant, town mark, date letter and maker’s mark, underside additionally with various engraved markings; height: approx. 4.7 cm.
Sterling and 800/- silver; total weight: approx. 242 g; three-piece group consisting of: 1) Cream jug with pear-shaped body, broad spout and high-set volute handle on a narrow foot ring; height: approx. 8.2 cm. 2) Round sugar bowl with slightly flared rim on a double-stepped foot ring; height: approx. 4.8 cm; cream jug and sugar bowl stamped to the side with lion passant, town mark, date letter 1937 and maker’s mark, underside additionally with model numbers. 3) Small sugar tongs with slightly curved arms; inside stamped with fineness mark and maker’s punches of the Bremen manufactory Wilkens; length: approx. 9.6 cm. All pieces with age-related signs of wear and oxidation residues.
