Sterling Silber; Gewicht: ca. 412 g; ovoidförmige Zuckerdose auf schmalem Standring mit hochgezogener Schulter, rückseitig abklappbarem, profiliertem Deckel und pilzförmiger Handhabe; auf der Schauseite mittig eingelassenes Schlüsselloch, Schlüssel fehlt; auf der Wandung umlaufende Bordüre mit Floraldekor sowie ziselierten Linierungen, mittig auf Schau- und Rückseite jeweils eine runde Reserve, auf der rückseitigen mit lateinischer Devise „NEC TIMERE NEC TIMIDE“; auf dem Deckel feine umlaufende Ziselierungen; altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren, Deckelbekrönung vermutlich später angebracht und mit unregelmäßiger Vertiefung; im Deckel mit Lion Passant gestempelt, unterseitig mit Lion Passant, Duty Mark, Stadtmarke London, ungedeuteter Meistermarke und Jahresbuchstabe versehen; Maße: ca. 14,6 x 14,6 x 10,5 cm.
Sterling silver; weight: approx. 412 g; ovoid sugar box on a narrow foot ring with raised shoulder, hinged profiled lid at the rear and mushroom-shaped finial; centrally inset keyhole to the front, key missing; encircling border with floral decoration and chased linear ornament to the body, a circular reserve centred on both the front and reverse, the reverse engraved with the Latin motto “NEC TIMERE NEC TIMIDE”; lid with fine encircling chased decoration; age-related signs of wear, lid finial probably later added and showing an irregular depression; lid stamped with lion passant, underside stamped with lion passant, duty mark, London town mark, unidentified maker’s mark and date letter; dimensions: approx. 14.6 x 14.6 x 10.5 cm.
Sterling silver; total weight: approx. 688 g; handled bowl with bulging oval body, centrally applied profiled handle and encircling pierced ornamental decoration, standing on an oval, flared foot with vertically pierced decoration; foot probably added at a later date, underside stamped with maker’s mark, Sheffield designation and model number; handle mount and outer rim stamped with lion passant, Chester town mark, maker’s mark and an unassigned date letter, probably 1731; age-related signs of wear and deformation to the handle; dimensions: approx. 11.4 x 30 x 22.5 cm.
