Pair of silver vases, Jakob Grimminger, Schwäbisch Gmünd, 2nd half of the 20th century
925/- Silber (gefüllt); Gesamtgewicht: ca. 226 g; Paar silberne Vasen mit konischem Korpus, in einen breiten, wellenförmigen Rand mündend, auf rundem Standfuß mit umlaufendem Kordelranddekor und eingezogenem Schaft in gedrückt kugeliger Form; anlaufgeschützt, schemenhafte Rückstände sichtbar; Fuß unterseitig mit Filz versehen; unten am Fuß gestempelt mit Halbmond und Krone, Feingehaltsstempel und Meistermarke; oberflächliche Mikrokratzer und altersbedingte Gebrauchsspuren, eine Delle von 3 mm am Schaft einer Vase; Höhe: je ca. 13,5 cm.
925/- silver (filled); total weight: ca. 226 g; pair of silver vases with conical body, opening into a wide, wavy rim, on circular foot with circumferential cord border decoration and tapered shaft in compressed globular form; protected against tarnishing, vague residues visible; underside of foot with felt covering; base stamped with crescent moon and crown, fineness mark and maker’s mark; surface micro-scratches and age-related signs of wear, one dent of 3 mm on the shaft of one vase; height: each ca. 13.5 cm.
835/- and 925/- silver (one vase filled); total weight: ca. 286 g; 1) small vase with club-shaped body on oval base, side-mounted long narrow handle and obliquely set spout; side stamped with maker’s mark Hermann Bauer and fineness mark “925”; filler visible at side of base; height: ca. 17.6 cm. 2) small vase with pear-shaped body on stepped oval base with side-mounted narrow handle and oval spout; underside stamped with crescent moon and crown, maker’s mark Gottlieb Kurz and fineness mark “835”; interior of spout with localised discolouration; height: ca. 14.5 cm. Both pieces with age-related signs of wear.
925/- silver and plated (both filled); total weight: ca. 357 g; 1) wide candlestick with flared nozzle and tapered shaft on convex quatrefoil base with circumferential fluting; side stamped with crescent moon and crown, maker’s mark and fineness mark; height: ca. 6.6 cm. 2) vase with club-shaped body, tapered shaft on square base with circumferential beaded border decoration; several surface scratches; plated; height: ca. 18.8 cm. Both pieces with age-related signs of wear.
800/- silver; total weight: ca. 80 g; teaspoons with three different floral designs in openwork; narrow tapering bowls; chiselled handles in branch design; reverse of the bowl or handle stamped with fineness and maker’s mark; age-related signs of wear and oxidation residues; length: ca. 10.3 to 10.5 cm.
Silver alloy; total weight: ca. 164 g; three-piece lot of spoons comprising: 1) serving spoon with trapezoid bowl with ornamental décor and widening handle with hammered decoration; reverse of handle with two obliterated marks; length: ca. 19 cm. 2) serving spoon with finely chased bowl depicting a hunter and livestock, and broad handle with depiction of a person, framed at the sides by fine rings and ending geometrically at the top; reverse of handle stamped with Swedish marks incl. date letter 1953; length: ca. 21 cm. 3) dumpling spoon with raised rose décor on handle and grip; reverse of handle stamped with Copenhagen city mark and assay year (19)22 as well as assay master’s mark of Christian F. Heise; length: ca. 25 cm. Age-related signs of wear.
